项目摘要

前年度に引続き,工業立地(素材と電気機器),都市化(人口密度分析),緑被(卓越地目表示)の変化を1km^2メッシュの地図化で考察した。本年度はそれを統合する地図の作成に着手した。作業の重点は,分担研究のデ-タファイルの互換性確立と,標準様式ファイルの試行的開発に置いた。具体的には東京大都市圏とその外縁地域を細かく検討し,個別作業結果を地図化する過程でいかに整合させるかを吟味した。主要3研究部門のうち,都市化研究がもっとも順調に進行しており,1880ー1980年代の1世紀にわたる変化が明らかになった。空間的に連続した高密度の都市化は最近20年の現象であって,それは内陸部への大規模な工業立地の時期でもある。この都市化・工業化に対応し,緑被の地域的変化が顕著になるが,非森林性緑被は大きな分布移動を示すのに対して,全体の面積をほとんど変えていないことが注目される。工業立地は臨海の大型素材部門の生産縮小,中小規模電気機器工場の内陸拡散が顕著となった結果,従来環境破壊が著しかった臨海工業地区より,内陸幹線交通路沿いに虫喰い状の環境改変が目立つようになった。以上の状況を今回は地図化できた。日本国内の微視的研究作業に並行して,巨視的な生産活動空間の拡大を考察するため,日本企業の海外投資とその環境へのインパクトに関する情報収集も継続した。この作業結果は,多様な空間規模に対応できるデ-タファイルの作成技法開発によって活かされるので,さらに今後の研究課題として残されている。
