平成8年度の研究は、(1)ロシア極東の経済現状がロシア全体と比較してかなり悪い状況であること、(2)ロシア極東の外国貿易および外国からの直接投資が期待したほど進展していないことを、ロシア極東の大学・研究所国家統計委員会の訪問による資料収集と、ロシア側専門家との議論を通じて明らかにした。平成8年度の論文発表は露文1(次号掲載予定)英文1.日本語1であるが、学会報告としては、(1)1966年11月1日の釧路公立大学において「極東ロシアと日本の経済関係」(2)1966年11月27日.防衛研究所において(重点領域研究:スラブユーラシアの変動、極東班)「ロシア経済の現状と展望」を行った。さらに、1997年4月には南京理工大学の国際シンポジュウムにおいて「ロシアと中国の経済移行の比較」を研究報告する予定である。
