本研究の目的は、実演芸術の需要側の実態と構造に関する統計情報の収集と整備のために、全国の高等教育機関の学生を対象に実演芸術の鑑賞活動を中心とした質問紙調査を実施し、データ・ファイルを編成することである。この調査では、過去2回(1985/86と1991/92)実施された同調査からの時系列的分析が可能な形に、調査票の設計とサンプリングを行った。調査票の構成は、実演芸術の鑑賞状況自体を問う質問群と、鑑賞行動への要因と考えられる事項について問う質問群とから成る。さらに前者は、<ライブ鑑賞>(7ジャンル63種目)と、<視聴覚メディアを使った鑑賞>の2つの形態に分けられる。後者については、(1)生活時間に関わる項目(2)経済状況に関わる項目(3)地域に関する項目(4)文化資本または文化的環境に関わる項目の4つに分類される。調査のフレームワークおよび調査票の構成は、基本的には第2回調査と共通であるが、ポピュラー音楽のジャンルの変更、視聴覚機器の追加、主体的表現活動項目への「カラオケ」の追加等、社会状況の変化に合わせた若干の追加・修正を行った。調査対象は、母集団構造、すなわち全国の高等教育機関の学校種別、設立形態、専攻分野、地域別の構成比に対応するように留意しながら選定し、各高等教育機関の協力者を介して調査を実施した。今後、回答サンプルと母集団構造との対応を検討した上で、サンプルの構造上の偏りについては追加調査で補正したいと考えている。

The purpose of this study is to collect and organize statistical information related to the actual situation and structure of the performance, and to organize the evaluation activities of the performance of students in higher education institutions across the country. In the future, we will investigate and correct the structural deviation of the parent group.
