In order to compile "General Catalog of Japanese Astronomy and Land-surveying before 1870", we made an extensive survey investigations at 410 domestic and 24 overseas libraries, archives and museums. As s result, we collected 6200 book titles including about 2100new ones, and compiled them into a systematic catalog. In February 2006, we published this result as a book from a commercial publisher in Tokyo. Also utilizing our collections, some of our team members published some research papers.
