写本から版本への移行過程に生ずる問題を、中国・日本撰述の漢字字書の字体規範に着目して考察する。写本の字書は、『原本玉篇』(中国、梁・顧野王撰)とその節略本である『篆隷万象名義』(日本、空海撰)を、版本の字書は『大広益会玉篇』(中国、宋・陳彭年等撰)を取り上げて、これらの掲出字情報を対照したデータベースを構築し、これによって写本と版本との間に存する漢字字体規範の差を把握した。漢字字体規範研究の理論と方法については、石塚晴通の研究が注目される。石塚は、各年代の標準的文献を取り上げ、その悉皆調査を行うことにより、漢字の標準字体の流れを明かにしている。石塚の取り上げる各時代の標準的文献(「石塚漢字字体資料」)とは、規範の転換をもたらす影響力の強い文献、規範を忠実に反映する文献のことである。字体に揺れがある文献は、字体規範の移行の時期か、不注意による揺れであるかと考えられる。この石塚の研究の上に立ち、『玉篇』写本・版本の漢字字体規範の問題を考察するため、『玉篇』画像データベースを作成し、『篆隷万象名義』(高山寺本、永久2年[1114]写)と『大広益会玉篇』(宮内庁書陵部本、南宋版、寧宗頃浙中刊本)の掲出字を画像として対照したものを示した。これにより、『玉篇』写本・版本の漢字字体規範を全体的に把握することが可能となった。

The Chinese character font specification of the original version of the "jade article" can be grasped completely.
