项目摘要

【国際シンポジウム】イギリスからICAの副ディレクターとWhitechapelギャラリーのディレクターを歴任した美術評論家のJasia Reichardt氏を招聘し、国際シンポジウム＜メディアと芸術のあいだーーヤシャ・ライハートの60年代の「展覧会」を読み解く＞を開催した。研究代表者が客員研究員をつとめる国立新美術館の伊村靖子氏との共同企画と進行による。10月23日には、グラッフィク・デザイナーの杉浦康平氏をゲストに、日本のアートとデザインを紹介した展覧会「Fluorescent Chrysanthemum」について議論をした。25日には、情報学者のドミニク・チェン氏をゲストに、メディアアート分野で先駆的な展覧会「Cybernetic Serendipity」を振り返った。【国際シンポジウム②】2月21日には、韓国のNam June Paik Art CenterのアーキビストのSang Ae Park氏を招聘し、日韓シンポジウム「メディアアートのアーカイブは可能か」を企画、進行した。【国内学会発表】9月26日に日本映像学会中部支部で＜日本メディアアート史における「名古屋」という場＞というタイトルの招待講演を行った。【国際学会発表】11月8日にモントリオールで開催されたrecreate: the 5th International Conference on the Histories of Media Art, Science and Technologyで、著書『日本メディアアート史』（2014）と研究プロジェクトについて発表を行った。【アーカイブ】Reichardt氏の関わった名古屋国際ビエンナーレARTEC（1989ー1997）の映像アーカイブ整理作業を行った。三上晴子氏の追悼展とアーカイブおよび坂根厳夫氏の映像コレクションに関する共同研究を行っている。
