项目摘要

2021年末から研究代表者とオンライン研究会を共同企画・進行してきた、キュレーターの大坂紘一郎氏が、2022年度から研究分担者として本研究に加わった。国内外の専門家を中心に非公開で行われた小規模の共同研究の成果は、表象文化論学会第16回研究発表集会のシンポジウム「映像と時間：レトロ／プロ＝スペクティヴについてのいくつかの覚書」の企画に発展的に受け継がれた。研究代表者と研究分担者は、シンポジウムにそれぞれ司会とパネルリストとして登壇し、演劇と映画を専門とする他の2人のパネリストとともに、科研費で招聘したホー・ツーニェン氏の20年あまりの芸術的実践を様々な角度から検証した。研究代表者は、2022年から2023年まで美術家の田中功起氏とオンラインマガジンART iTの誌上で「現代美術と映像メディア」をめぐる手紙形式の対話を渡って行った。2023年5月13日に国立国際美術館で開催される第25回中之島映像劇場「現代美術と映像＿田中功起との対話」という上映会とトークは、その成果を踏まえて企画されたものである。研究分担者は、2022年12月に本人の主宰するアサクサで、オーストリア出身のアーティスト／映像作家、ハイドルン・ホルツファイント氏の国内初の個展「こんな今だから。（アサクサエンターテインメンツ2022「知らないことの政治学」）」を企画した。2023年1月末から2月末にかけては、シンガポール美術館(SAM)のキュラトリアルレジデンシーに招かれ、とくにシンガポールとマレーシアを拠点に活動する映像メディア作家と美術批評家と交流した。翌3月からゲスト講師として韓国芸術総合学校にて授業を担当しつつ、コロナ禍、そしてその前後における各アートスペースでの映像メディアの実践の変化について、ソウル市内の関係者にインタビューを行い、本研究の一次資料を収集している。
