Studies on subsistence and exchange in the latter half of prehistoric Ryukyus

通过对位于琉球群岛家岛的长良原东遗址的8次发掘，从贝冢时代文化向贝冢时代文化转变的角度明确了以下问题：1.该遗址的时代属于5 - 7世纪; 2.在这一时期，陶器的形制由传统向新的转变，这一转变是独立引起的，但另一方面又与南九州和奄美诸岛的文化不约而同地来到冲绳有关;长原东遗址很有可能是家岛和南九州和种子岛之间的shellexchange的营地之一。

Thorough 8 times excavations of Nagarabaru-higashi site on Iejima island in Ryukyuarchipelago, we made clear the following matter from the viewpoint in what way the formerculture of shell-mound-age change to the latter one :1.the time of the site belongs tothe 5thto 7thcentury, 2.during this time the shape of potteries change from a traditionalstyle to a new one, this change caused independently but on the other hand relates tothe culture of south-Kyushu and Amami islands which had come to Okinawa intermittently,3. Nagarabaru-higashi site is very possibpe to be one of the camp site for the shellexchange between Iejima and south Kyushu and Tanegahima island.
