新プログラム方式による研究"地球環境撹乱下における生物多様性の保全及び生命情報の維持管理に関する総合的基礎研究"を推進するために、リーダー構想に基づき、分担者全体会議及び総括班会議を開いて研究計画を検討し、新プログラム方式による研究に係わる平成9年度科学研究費補助金(創成的基礎研究費)研究実施計画書を作成した。グループ研究、国際シンポジウムの開催、特別研究員の任用、研究施設の整備の4つを軸として進める。1)研究目的:生物多様性の保全および生命情報の維持管理のための科学的基礎の確立。2)研究体制:5研究班と総括班で構成。評価委員はすべて外国研究者。研究班1:生物多様性の原因と結果のパターン解明。研究班2:生物多様性の原因と結果の機構解明。環境制御実験設備(シンバイオトロン)建設。研究班3:生物多様性と人間社会の相互作用を解明し、生物多様性の保全政策の有効性を検討。研究班4:生物多様性の原因と結果についての理論と、生物多様性保全理論の提出。研究班5:生命情報維持管理システムの原型の提示。熱帯林と温帯林における樹冠観察用のクレーンなどを含む研究設備の充実。3)主要野外調査地:アジアの森林系、湖沼系、珊瑚礁を含む5ケ所。4)年次計画9年度:研究の立ち挙げ、温帯林の樹冠研究設備。10年度:熱帯林の研究施設、シンバイオトロン建設。11年度:計算機によるエコゲネシス実験の開始、中間外部評価、組織と研究課題の再検討。12年度:シンバイオトロン本実験。13年度:まとめと外部評価。

New research methods "Integrated basic research on conservation and maintenance of biological diversity and management of life information under global environmental disturbances" were developed. Basic research projects were discussed in plenary meetings and general class meetings of participants. The new research method is to prepare a research implementation plan for the year 2009 scientific research grant (basic research fund for innovation). The four axes of research, international research, appointment of special researchers, and research facility development 1)Objective: To establish the scientific basis for the preservation of biological diversity and the maintenance and management of life information. 2)Study system:5 study classes and comprehensive classes. Members of the Committee are invited to participate in the work of foreign researchers. Workshop 1: explaining the causes and consequences of biological diversity. Workshop 2: explaining the causes and consequences of biological diversity. Construction of environmental control equipment. Seminar 3: To understand the interaction between biological diversity and human society, and to discuss the effectiveness of biological diversity preservation policies. Workshop 4: Theory of biological diversity and its causes and consequences, and theory of biological diversity preservation. Seminar 5: tips for prototype of life information maintenance management system. The research equipment for forest canopy observation in tropical and temperate forests is fully implemented. 3)Main field investigation sites: forest system, lake system, coral reef system, including 5 sites. 4)Year 9: Research on the establishment of forest canopy and forest canopy in temperate zone. Y2010: Research facilities for thermal zone forest, construction of thermal zone forest. Year 11: Computer development and implementation start, intermediate external evaluation, organization and research project review. Year 12: The original version of the game. Year 13: External evaluation.
