项目摘要

本年度は前年度に引き続き、研究班をコーバス作成班(研究協力者を舎めて4名)とコーバス分析班(研究協力者を含めて4名)に分け、適宜協力しながら研究計画を遂行した(ただし、研究代表者は、両方の研究班に所属)。まず、「作成班」は前年度までに書き起こし・校正が完了した100名分のテキストをすべてHTML文書化した上で、すでに稼働中のプロジェクト専用WWWサーバに登録、WWW全文検索ソフトウェア(MitakeSearch)を用いて、インデクシング(索引作成)作業を実行し、検索データベースを構築した。その後、研究メンバー(米国の研究協力者を含む)とコーパス利用を希望する他の研究グループ向けに全文データ検索サービスを開始した。さらに、すでに導入済みのインターネット向け画像・音声サーバ技術を用いて、WWW上で画像(動画)データを送受信するための実験(福岡工業大学-九州大学-九州工業大学間でSINETのT1回線を使用)を試みたが、現時点では実用性に乏しいことがわかった。最後に、LAN上のWWW環境で日本語教育向けに別途開発を進めてきたロールプレイ・ビデオ教材データベースの一部を用いて、留学生を被験者とする評価実験を実施した。その結果、日本語母語話者の現実発話(インタビュー形式)を随時アクセス可能な形で教材化して提供することには日本語学習の動機付けの面で大きな意義があることが判明した。次に、「分析班」は言語学と日本語教育それぞれの立場から、NSとNNSの発話内容を詳細に比較検討し、指示詞、留守電ロールプレイ時の応答、繋ぎ語等の各トピックについて会話分析を行った。論文とデータは通常の印刷物に加えて、電子化テキストの形式で作成し、インターネット上のWWW,FTPサーバーからも閲覧・入手・可能にしている。
