项目摘要

本研究課題は、現在言語変化の過程にある鹿児島方言に対して実験音声学的立場からの調査を行い、一般的な言語変化のプロセスおよび、それに際する音声産出と知覚の役割の解明に貢献することを目指すものである。具体的には、高年層と若年層の話者を対象とした音声産出／知覚実験を行い、両者の音節の時間制御（とりわけ重子音の有無による母音持続時間の変化）の特徴を比較する。令和４年度は、鹿児島方言話者の若年層と高年層に対する音声産出実験を行ってデータを収集するとともに、促音の有無に伴う先行母音、および、後続母音の持続時間の変化に関する分析を行った。その結果、今回の実験で得られたデータに関しては、高年層であっても伝統的な鹿児島方言とは異なる特徴を示した参加者や、若年層であっても伝統的な特徴を保持していると考えられる参加者が混在していた。この結果が今回の被験者に特有なものなのか、または、鹿児島方言話者に一般的に通ずる傾向なのかを現段階で断定することはできない。しかしながら、令和５年度以降に行う調査では、年代別の分析に加えて個人の音声産出と音声知覚がどのように対応しているのかという点も考慮しながら分析を行う必要があることが示唆された。また、本研究課題に今後関わる可能性があるデータの収集、および、分析も令和４年度に行った。具体的には、福岡方言話者を対象とした音声産出実験を行い、子音（閉鎖音）が有声か無声かによって、それらに先行／後続する母音の持続時間がどのように異なるかどうかについて調査した。その結果、①母音が短母音か長母音かに関わらず、有声子音に先行する母音の持続時間は無声子音に先行する母音よりも長くなる②直前の音節内の母音が長母音か短母音に関わらず、有声子音に後続する母音の持続時間は無声子音に後続する母音よりも長くなることが判明した（なお、この内容は共同研究として令和５年度に国際学会で発表予定）。

This study focuses on the investigation of the process of speech transformation in the Kagoshima dialect, the investigation of the position of sound acoustics, the investigation of the general speech transformation, the investigation of the sound output, the investigation of the contribution of knowledge and understanding to the interpretation of speech. The characteristics of sound production/sound control of syllables in specific layers (such as high and low layers) are compared. In order to analyze the relationship between the sound output of the early and late years of the Kagoshima dialect speakers and the sound generation of the early and late vowels, it is necessary to analyze the sound generation of the early and late vowels. The result is that the characteristics of the Kagoshima dialect in the upper layer are different from those in the lower layer, and the characteristics of the Kagoshima dialect in the upper layer are mixed. The result is that there is a general tendency to communicate with people in Kagoshima dialect. In addition to the analysis of individual voice output and voice knowledge, the survey was conducted in the past five years. This research topic is related to the possibility of future collection, analysis and implementation in 4 years.
