With its catalog of criteria, the DINI Certificate for Open Access Publication Services successfully promotes the practical application of generally accepted standards and recommendations for open science (Open Science, Open Access). To verify the implementation of these standards, the DINI-OAI Validator is an essential tool. It has established itself beyond certification intentions as a testing aid for repositories whose interface is to be validated qualitatively in principle. After many years of successful operation, the DINI-OAI Validator now needs a fundamental overhaul. The update of this important service as well as the adaptation of the form for its use is the subject of the project.
