项目摘要

本研究の目的は, 文部省科学研究費補助金による海外学術研究に関する諸問題について総合的検討を加え, 関係研究者間の研究連絡, 情報交換の場の提供, 関係資料の整備・充実, 調査対象地域の実情調査等により, 現地調査の円滑にして効果的な実施を助け今後の方向づけに寄与すると同時に, 海外学術研究による研究成果, 現地で収集された標本その他の資料が広く活用されるような適切な方策を検討し, その具体化を推進することにある.以上の目的を達成するために, 前年度に引き続いて, 海外学術研究に係わる専門分野を地学, 生物学, 人文・社会科学に大別, 一方対象地域を北・東アジア, 東南アジア, 南アジア, 西アジア・北アジア, アフリカ, 中南米, オセアニア, 北米・ヨーロッパに区分し, 各専門分野をカバーする研究分担者19名と研究代表者からなる「海外学術調査総括班」を組織し, 海外学術研究を所管する文部省学術国際局国際学術課と緊密な連絡をとりつつ, 次の諸事業を実施した.(1)海外学術調査総括班会議の開催(5月, 9月, 12月, 1月各1回):海外学術研究の意義・在り方, 現地調査実施上の問題点とその解決策, 以下の諸事業の実施方法, 今後の計画, 総括班自体の在り方について討議した.(2)海外学術調査研究連絡会の開催(1月29日, 30日, 会場:東京外国語大学アジア・アフリカ言語文化研究所):昭和62年度の調査隊, 昭和63年度の調査隊(学術調査:候補)の研究代表者を招き, 北・東アジアを始め上記8地域に分け, 総括班の各地域幹事を座長とし調査許可取得のための手続き, 現地社会事情, 調査実施上の問題点等について情報, 意見を交換した. 参加者220名.(3)コロキアム「海外学術調査20年:成果と展望」(ヒマラヤ編)の開催:11月6日, 7日, 会場:東京外国語大学アジア・アフリカ言語文化研究所)海外学術調査20年の成果をヒマラヤに焦点をあて発表・討議を行い, 海外学術研究の今後の展望を探った. 参加者90名.(4)コロキアム「東南アジアとアフリカー地域間研究へ向けて」の開催:2月13日, 14日, 会場:京都御車会館)初めての試みでもあり, 第一回目は, 主に自然科学系の研究者を中心に発表・討議を行い, 今後の地域間研究への足掛りを求めた. 参加者90名.(5)西アジア・北アフリカ, 東南アジア諸国におけ学術研究体制の実情調査:東京外国語大学アジア・アフリカ言語文化研究所・上岡弘二教授, 他3名を11月11日〜12月1日, エジプト, トルコ, タイ, シンガポールに派遣し, 海外学術研究関係情報・資料の収集と現地調査状況の見学を行った.(6)『海外学術調査関係文献目録』及び『海外学術調査関係研究者名簿』作成のための編集委員会の開催:昭和53年度〜60年度までに海外学術調査に参加した調査隊員全員を対象に昭和61年度に実施したアンケート調査を取り纏め, 海外学術調査の成果及び収集された標本資料が広く活用され, また広く関係研究者の有機的な連関が取れるよう配慮しつつ編集方針を決定した.(7)海外学術調査関係資料の編集・刊行・配布:昭和61年度の海外学術調査(調査研究総括)の実積報告書, 海外学術調査に関する情報を関係機関・研究者に速やかに提供し, 本総括班の事業の内容を周知させるため, 『海外学術調査ニュースレター』No.10,11を刊行配布, また過去10年間の海外学術調査の成果と動向を纏めた『海外学術調査最近10年間の成果と動向』(「学術月報」第41巻第1号別冊」を関係機関, 研究者に配布した.
