项目摘要

女性の雇用者の割合は増加傾向にあるとはいうものの、いくつかの特定の職業分野に偏った分布をしている。職業の性別構成の違いによって、職業的自立のチャンスがいかに規定されているのか、職業におけるさまざまな報酬の配分構造の実態と、それらとの間の規定メカニズムを、社会調査データの収集・分析および労働市場構造・就業構造に関する統計資料・調査資料を利用した分析を通じて明らかにした。分析の結果、以下の点が明らかになった。第一に、女性の職場進出がすすむにつれて、多様な職業分野への参入が果たされ女性の職域拡大が実現されている一方で、いまだ大部分の女性は、女性比率の高い少数の特定の職業に集中的に就労している。第二に、職業的機会は職業分離(occupational segregation)の程度と関連している。男性の場合、職業的なチャンスは労働市場的特徴による規定力が相対的に大きく、職業を構成する性別比率による影響はないが、女性に関しては女性が高い比率を占める職業ほど、女性にとって仕事の場での発言権や自己決定の行使の機会が増大することが、分析より明らかになった。第三に、職業的生活は、職業的なさまざまな機会や報酬の配分を媒介として、女性にとっても、その価値観や考え方に対して影響を与える。職業的な経験や報酬を得られることによって、伝統的な性別役割分業観にたいして否定的な価値観や職業観を内面化するという知見が得られた。
