项目摘要

We organize domestic and international collaborations in between researchers who are working on general relativity, expanding universe and their related subjects, i.e., mathematical physics, high energy cosmic rays, galaxy formation and so on. The research accomplishments which one can see in the report extend over a wide range. Among them, the observational test of the general relativity, gravitational collapse, gravity wave, gravitational lensing, primordial stellar object formation, large scale structure formation, formation of the galaxy and its evolution, cosmic microwave background, cosmological models, dark matter, inflation scenario, quantum cosmology and super string, nucleo-synthesis, gamma-ray burst and ultra-high energy cosmic rays have been studied.In the first year, we invited Professor Y.Hoffman from Hebrew University, Israel, and had a lecture series on data analysis of a cosmological observation. Many of investigators of thi … More s project gave invited talks in international meetings together with local meetings and annual meetings of Japan Physical Society and Japan Astronomical Society. Among them, Sugiyama gave a invited talk "Determination of Cosmological Parameters by Cosmic Microwave Background" in IAU symposium.In the second year, we organized 49th Yamada Conference on Black Holes and High Energy Astrophysics in April. Sato was the chair of this international meeting. We had over 140 participants including 30 invited speakers from 10 countries. In this meeting, the most recent results on the subjects related to the research project were reported with hot discussions. We also had a local meeting on the scope of general relativity and cosmology in November, in which about 30 researchers attended. Through these meetings, we hope that we could create new trend of the field. In order to show our activity, many of us gave talks in various meetings. For example, Sugiyama gave a invited talk at MPA/ESO Cosmology Conference : Evolution of Large-Scale Structure, in August.
