项目摘要

1) 日米保安再確認に対する中国の反応:昨年の研究成果の一端は台北における研究会議(昨年9月)で発表したが、今年度その原稿を含むブロシーティングが出版された。2) 米国のアジア太平洋政策:昨年実施し雑誌に発表したクリントン政権第1期の政策展開の研究を含む書籍が出版された。現在その続編を準備中。3) 東アジアの安全保障状況:昨年秋にワシントンの会議で発表した研究成果を出版のため改訂した。その続編を1999年1月の日仏安全保障会議で口頭発表した。4) アジア太平洋地域の多国間安全保障協力への中国の関与:昨年度までにほぼまとまっていた研究成果にその後収集した資料の分析を加え、昨年度の関連事項の研究も加味して、英文で論文をまとめた。それを3月に米国の学会で発表し、6月にその改訂版を本特定領域研究全体集会で発表した。5) 冷戦後の日米中関係と三角関係論:冷戦後アジア太平洋地域で最も重要な三国となった日米中関係が、三画関係的論理でそこまでとらえきれるかを検証した。5月の北京の会議で報告し、その改訂稿が現在出版準備中。6) アジアにおける日本の役割に関する中国の認識:冷戦後のアジアにおける日本の存在に関する外交問題専門家の議論を材料にして、中国の認識の特徴を明らかにし、その要因を分析した。9月のウィーンの学会で報告し、現在出版に向け改稿中。

The report of the Society of Science and Technology in September is currently being published and is being revised.
