项目摘要

本研究は、今日の公共性に関する議論に豊かな視座を与えたハンナ・アレントの教育論に着目し、彼女の公共性論の文脈を踏まえて、シティズンシップ教育等の教育と公共性の関係をめぐる今日の議論に新たな視座を与えることを目的とするものである。最終年度にあたる本年度においては、昨年度および一昨年度の研究の成果を踏まえて、主に以下の三つの研究課題に取り組んだ。①シティズンシップ教育におけるメディアの役割に関する研究：本課題は、政治的主体化が生じる際に、メディアあるいは「モノ」はどのような機能を担っているのかを考察するものである。考察にあたっては、ジャック・ランシエールの政治論、教育論、感性論を手がかりとした。こうした考察は、子どもを「世界」に導く際に、モノがどのように両者の関係を媒介しているのかという研究課題の一部をなすものとして位置付けられる。こうした研究の成果の一部をまとめ日本教育学会大会にて口頭発表した。②アレントの暴力論の検討：本課題では、アレントが教育において特別な意義を認めている「権威」概念の働きを明らかにすることを試みた。こうした研究の成果は教育哲学会大会にて口頭発表した。③アレントにおける「社会的なもの」と教育の関係：本課題では、アレントにおける「社会的なもの」への批判を再検討するとともに、「社会的なもの」としての学校教育が有する可能性と限界を考察した。こうした研究の一部をまとめ、ストックホルム大学において行なわれた国際カンファレンスにおいて成果報告を行なった。

This study focuses on the relationship between the public and the educational system.
