本研究の目的は、既存の権力関係からの解放や政治的主体化を企図した教育の理論と実践に着目し、その系譜を思想史的に把握することを通じて、解放の教育学が有する可能性と課題を明らかにすることである。１年目にあたる本年度では、教育を通じた個人の自由や自律の実現を目指した教育学の試みとして、批判的教育学の系譜を検討することを主な課題とし、文献の収集および検討を行なった。検討を通じて解放の教育学をめぐる思想史を描き出す際に焦点となりうるいくつかの論点を明らかにすることができた。また、当初の計画においては２年目以降に検討を予定していたポストコロニアルの教育思想を対象とし検討にも一部着手するなど、今後の研究の遂行に向けた予備的な考察も進めている。ただし、以上の取り組みを通じて得られた知見を学会発表や論文として公開するには至らなかった。よって、本年度の成果については次年度中に発表や論文執筆を行うこととしたい。以上の文献資料の収集・検討に加えて、本年度においては、解放の教育学の系譜に位置づくものと思われる教育実践の事例を調査し、実践校への視察も実施した。事例の調査を通じて、国内外での先進的な試みについて関係者より新たな情報と知見を得られたことも重要な成果として挙げられる。こうして得られた知見をもとに、今後、検討すべき文献群や視察先（海外での実践を含む）の範囲を広げる方針で研究を進めることを計画している。
