项目摘要

2022年度は主に、①新宗教の死者儀礼と現世主義に関する研究、②新宗教と伝統宗教との死者儀礼における合致点・相違点に着目した研究、③新宗教が実施する儀礼への参与観察・聞き取り調査・資料収集に着手した。①については、現世主義が特徴とされる新宗教において、死者儀礼がどのような意味をもち、どのように整備・実施されてきたのかを考察した。その結果、現世主義が特徴の新宗教でも墓は重要視されることや、教義的に示されていない儀礼において、教団色を出せるもの・出せないものが存在すること、教団式葬儀が「布教」の文脈で語られる場合があることなどが明らかとなった。なお本成果は、2022年9月の日本宗教学会第81回学術大会にて、「新宗教の死者儀礼と現世主義―天理教を中心に―」と題して、口頭発表（オンライン発表）をおこなった。②については①での発表を発展させ、伝統宗教の儀礼をモデルとした新宗教の儀礼における、伝統宗教の儀礼との影響関係を、神道系新宗教である天理教の死者儀礼（葬儀）を事例として分析をおこなった。その結果、儀礼の「借用」「文脈化」「独自化」状態という概念が析出された。また、天理教式葬儀は教団内でも位置付けについて見解が分かれる儀礼であったが、これは儀礼の「借用」「文脈化」「独自化」状態のモザイク的構成に由来することが原因であると示唆された。なお本成果は、2023年3月発行の『儀礼文化学会紀要』11号に、「新宗教の死者儀礼における「借用」「文脈化」「独自化」―天理教の葬儀を事例に―」と題して、研究ノートが掲載された。③については、各教団の図書館・本部・教会・支部などにおもむき、新宗教教団の儀礼への質的調査、資料収集・整理に着手した。具体的には、崇教真光の道場や、天理教の本部や複数の教会におもむき、祭典・儀礼の参与観察、信者への聞き取り、資料の収集、それらの整理をおこなった。

In 2022, the following topics were discussed: (1) Research on the relationship between new religions and rituals of the dead and secularism;(2) Research on the convergence and contradiction between new religions and traditional religions and rituals of the dead; and (3) Participation in the investigation, information collection and data collection of new religions and rituals. 1. The characteristics of secularism, the new religion, the ceremony of the dead, the meaning of the ceremony, the preparation, the implementation, the investigation. As a result, secularism is characteristic of new religions, which are important to the development of religion. The results of this work were presented at the 81st Academic Conference of the Japanese Religious Society in September 2022. The topic was "New Religion's Ceremony of the Dead and Secularism-The Center of Tenrikyo". 2. The development of traditional religion rituals, the influence of traditional religion rituals, the analysis of the case of Shinto new religion rituals, the death rituals (funerals) of Tianli religion The result, ceremony and "borrowing","contextualization" and "individualization" state are separated from each other.
