本研究は、20世紀前半のフランス文学に見られた「言語不信」の問題について、社会状況との関連などを踏まえつつ、その文学史的意義を検証することを総合的課題とする。本年度は以下の二点を中心に調査を行なった。（１）「言語不信」の主題が持つ射程について、主題論的研究を参照しながら論点を整理した。特にA. コンパニョン『アンチ・モダン』（2005年）、L. ニュネズ『書くことに抗する作家たち』（2006年）を参照した。文彩や修辞よりも神懸かりや霊感を志向する「非-作家」の系譜は、プラトンの対話篇以来、1920年代のシュルレアリスム出現に至るまで、霊感の源泉をどこに認めるか（神か、人間内部か）をめぐる言説の歴史として理解しうる。この歴史的流れを、さらに次の二つの問いとその応答の歴史として整理することを試みた。(a) 人間内部にあるとされる霊感の源泉を実在的なものとして定義できるかどうか。(b) 言語不信の文学において、作家の表現手段としての言語は批判され、霊感が独りでに紡ぐ言語こそが称揚される。このとき、二つの言語を区別する境界はどこにあり、また両者はどのように関連しているのか。（２）上記の二つの問いを踏まえて、本年度は、シュルレアリスム的霊感を擁護する側の批評家を分析した。J.モヌロ『現代詩と聖なるもの』（1945年）、F.アルキエ『シュルレアリスムの哲学』（1955年）では、シュルレアリスムが、しばしば指摘されるような「否定主義」「ニヒリズム」ではなく、むしろ人間の形而上学的「肯定」を試みる運動であったと主張されている。分析にあたっては、こうした「肯定性」擁護が、ジャン・ポーランによるシュルレアリスム批判に対する反論として構想されていた点を検証した。また、散文と詩の関係という形式的な問題が、上記のような哲学的な言説の中で扱われていく過程を具体的にあとづけた。

This study aims to explore the problems of "unbelief in speech" in literature in the first half of the 20th century, and to explore the implications of social conditions and literary history.
