项目摘要

本年度は研究成果を以下の3本の論文として出版した。①「他者性のセノグラフィー：ルイ・ジューヴェによるジャン・ジロドゥ古典劇の演出」（『フランス語フランス文学研究』第122巻）、 ②「ピエール・ロティ作品のコスモポリティスム：小野節子の読解を起点に」（AALA Journal第28巻）、③ "Les representations des pieces de Giraudoux sous l’Occupation : le cas de la France et de l’Afrique du Sud" (Shinya SHIGEMI (dir.), La Censure et les periodiques sous l’Occupation allemande dans le sud de la France)。またこれらの論文に関する学会発表も日本仏語仏文学会とアジア系アメリカ文学会で行った。全体として本研究計画の基礎である20世紀初頭のフランス演劇界における「国際演劇」誕生の経緯を端的に検証できたと思っている。論文1は当時の代表的な劇作家ジャン・ジロドゥの戯曲の舞台上演が、様々な視聴覚技術を用いたエグゾティスムのスペクタクルとしてあったことを明らかにしたものであり、論文3はそのジロドゥ戯曲の上演が、ジロドゥの盟友的演出家ルイ・ジューヴェの手により第二次世界大戦下において国境を越え南米まで広がっていたことを明らかにしている。また論文２では、当時の代表的な小説家の一人であり、代表作『お菊さん』が舞台化され当時の演劇界にも大きな影響を与えたピエール・ロティの物語構成法、文体が、「世界文学」とも言いうる越境的な傾向を持っていることを明らかにした。フランス演劇界における異国趣味の高まり、フランス劇団の外国進出、文学言語それ自体の国際化を満遍なく示すことができたと思う。
