環境動態領域の本年度の研究班は、計画研究15班、公募研究32班、全体で47研究班が組織された。昭和60年7月2日、これら研究班代表者全員による研究計画発表会ならびに事務連絡会議を学士会分館に於いて行った。本研究計画に関連した連絡・報告を行うと共に各研究班の研究方針の検討、研究班相互の交流・連絡・調整をはかった。昭和61年1月30日・31日には年間の研究成果の発表検討のため、研究成果報告会を東京大学理学部化学講堂で行った。すなわち気圏部門4件、陸域部門8件、海域部門6件、都市域部門3件、循環部門2件の合計23件の研究報告および特別講演2件を行い、動態領域の研究目的達成のために専門領域の違いを越えた研究成果の交流、相互理解、研究成果の評価等を行った。尚この研究成果は「環境科学」研究報告書(B-269-R10-1)にまとめた。一方、動態領域基礎班班員23名から成る環境動態領域委員会、部門代表を含む11名から成る環境動態領域小委員会を組織し、動態領域基礎班の運営業務を行うこととし、小委員会を5回、領域委員会を2回開催した。この委員会において昭和60年度を中心とした環境動態の研究グループ間の研究方針、気圏、陸域、海域、都市域、物質循環等の相互交流、総括を行い、昭和61年度の環境動態の研究方針を決定した。また環境科学動態領域における将来研究の研究方針を検討するため「環境動態の不調・改善に関する展望と理念」(代表栗原康,班員14名)班を組織し、検討班会議を5回行った。この検討班会議において、各班員より環境科学特別研究の現状とその評価、将来の問題点、MABの継続と発展について討議し、次年度も本検討班の継続を決めた。その他、重点研究プロジェクトや、出版または報告書作成に対する補助を3件行った。以上、本年度の本研究の目的はほぼ達成されたと考える。

In the field of environmental dynamics, 15 planned research classes, 32 publicly funded research classes and 47 general research classes were organized.
