交通施設整備による地域間の人口の社会移動を予測するシミュレーションモデルを開発した。これは中国四国地域の県単位での人口の社会移動データによって実証した。このモデルによって各県の人口の上位フレームを推定できる。(土木計画学研究論文集登載)都市内部においては、効用最大化理論に基づいて、都市施設の利用行動理論を展開し、都市公園の利用実態調査によってパラメータ推定を行い、有意なモデルを得た。(土木学会論文集登載)また同様のデータを用いて、公園,図書館,公民館等、ほとんどの都市公共施設の最適誘置距離を求め、都市計画にとって非常に有意義な情報を示すことができた。(都市計画別冊登載)都市内の土地の需要と供給の理論モデルを開発し、このモデルに基づいて土地税制が需給関係に及ぼす影響を明示し、税制の社会的費用便益分析を可能にした。またこの結果として地価を予測できることも示した。本理論は現在の日本の都市地域における土地問題の解決策としての土地税制のあり方について計量的な分析を可能にするものである。(日本不動産学会誌)都市内の商業施設については、買物行動モデルと商圏について新しい理論モデルを提案した。これは従来のHuffモデルやReillyの小売買物モデルに新しい理論的解釈を加えたものであり、従来経験則にすぎなかったグラビテイ・モデルに理論的基礎を与えた。(地域学研究)当該年度中に収集した地価データ,交通データ,地域間旅客流動データについてはすべてコンピュータ入力し、分析をほとんど終っている。このデータに基づく費用便益分析の結果は、一部未発表であるが、今後順次、学会誌等へ発表の予定であり、当面は5月の土木学会中四支部と10月の土木学会全国大会で講演発表する。
