IAMAP(国際気象学・大気物理学連合)傘下のCACGP(大気化学地球規模汚染委員会)は, 「国際地球規模大気化学研究計画」(IGAC計画:International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Program)を提察している. 現在, 米国やヨーロッパ各国でそれぞれ国情にあった研究計画づくりがすすめられており, 日本からの参加が強く要望されている.IGACの要請に応ずるため, 日本で実施可能な「日本版地球規模大気化学研究計画」を立案し, 今後の世界の動向に合わせて実施にうつしていく手順, 日本の独自性と貢献度等について検討した.研究班員全員の参加による検討・立案会議をもち, 全国レベルでの研究の組織方法や国際的な活動に対する見通し等をまとめ, 以下の結論を得た.1, 日本のIGAC計画の独自性と国際的な貢献日本列島が置れている地理的・気候的条件は, 西に大陸, 東に海洋があり強い西風の支配下にある点で特徴的である. 陸起源, 海起源の大気化学成分の輸送, 両者の混合がもたらす効果などきわめて興味ある課題が多い. この種の研究を実施出来る能力も, 黄砂観測, 洋上観測, 航空機観測, 酸性雨研究等で充分示されている. また, アジア地区全体の調査についても発展途上国を援助しつつ, 積任ある調査をするベきである.2, 研究者の組織全国の研究者の連絡綱を整備し, 研究者間の交流を活発化するようにした. このことによってIGACへ向けて国内で, いくつかの 処点が整備出来た.

CACGP under IAMAP(International Association of Atmospheric Physics) is reviewing IGAC (International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Program). Now, the United States and Japan have strong expectations for participation in research projects based on their national conditions.IGAC requests that Japan implement a possible "Japanese version of the Earth Scale Chemical Research Project" to file for future world trends. Japan's independence and contribution are discussed. The following conclusions were drawn from the participation of all members of the research team in the review and filing meetings, the organizational methods of the national research, the international communication activities, etc. 1. The independence of the IGAC project in Japan and the international contribution to the geographical and climatic conditions of the Japanese archipelago are: the west is the mainland, the east is the ocean, and the strong west wind dominates the characteristics of the point. There are many problems in the transportation and mixing of chemical components from land and sea. The capability of these kinds of research has been fully demonstrated, such as yellow sand survey, ocean survey, aircraft survey, acid rain research, etc. 2. Organization of researchers, national communication network for researchers, and active communication among researchers. The IGAC is heading for the country, and the point is being prepared.
