本研究は、京畿内及び畿内近傍の荘園を主対象として、荘園研究における文献史学と歴史地理学の統合的研究環境を、荘園史・資料のデータベースの構築を基礎にして確立することを目的とする。1.〔荘園史料文字列・画像統合データベース〕(1)史料編纂所歴史情報処理システム:SHIPS(ACOS410ー40をホストマシンとするネットワークシステム)のもとに、〔古文書・聖教類検索システム〕(既開発)による古文書文字列データと、光ディスク電子ファイリングシステム(NEOfile2000)の古文書画像データを統合して(汎用機と光ディスクを接続する)、〔荘園史料文字列・画像統合データベース〕を構築した。(2)〔荘園史料文字列・画像統合データベース〕に東大寺・西大寺等の荘園関係史料を入力した。特に、史料編纂所所蔵影写本「西大寺文書」については全点入力を行ない、あわせて総目録(研究成果報告書所収)を作成し、それに対応する画像データの入力を進めた。2.荘園の史・資料収集と歴史地理学的調査 (1)薬師寺・京都国立博物館等において荘園史料の収集・調査を行なった。(2)東大寺領近江国水沼荘・但馬国出石郡神戸郷・若狭国丹生浦山などの現地調査・資料収集をおこなった。(3)〔荘園研究資料画像データベース〕に(2)の荘園等の研究資料(論文・絵図・文書・地図・調査資料)の画像データを入力した。3.荘園文書等の目録索引の文字列データからそれらの全文イメージを画像データで検索できる、汎用歴史資料データベースシステムとしての機能をもつ〔荘園史料文字列・画像統合データベース〕と、個別荘園の研究資料を集成した〔荘園研究資料画像データベース〕を学界に提供することにより、荘園研究における文献史学的方法と歴史地理学的方法の統合的研究環境の整備にむけて前進することができた。

This study aims to establish the foundation for the integration of literature, history and geography in the study of gardens in and around Gyeonggi. 1. In particular, the "Nishidaiji Document", a photographic manuscript collected by the Historical Materials Compilation Institute, was compiled in a comprehensive catalogue (included in the research results report). 2. The text column of the catalogue index of the garden documents and the like is divided into the full text column and the portrait column and the general history data column and the portrait column and the function column of the garden historical data column and the portrait integration column and the research data of the individual gardens are integrated into the garden research data portrait column and the academic community provides the information column and the portrait column and the function column. The method of literature history and the method of history geography are integrated into the research environment.
