1.脳性まひ児の視知覚特性の検討本研究では, 個々の脳性まひ児の視知覚特性を調べるための簡便な評価法を開発することを目的として, 一定の空間関係のもとに図柄を配置した呈示図版をみながら, その呈示図版と同じ大きさの台紙上に, 呈示図版中の図柄と同じ絵柄の絵カードを配置していく, 「空間配置課題」を考案した.この課題を脳性まひ児に実施したところ, 個々の児童生徒の視空間認知の特性を定量的にとらえることができ, 従来は十分にとらえられなかった, 個々の脳性まひ児の視空間認知のゆがみを明らかにすることができた.また, この課題遂行時の児童生徒の行動を分析することにより, それぞれの児童生徒が視空間的課題を解決していく際にとるストラテジーの特性も, 明らかにすることができた.2.視知覚特性に適合した指導法の検討視空間認知に問題のある脳性まひ児について, どのような刺激の呈示の仕方により, 視空間認知を促進することができるかを検討した. その結果, 呈示刺激に, 空間関係の把握を助けるような視覚的枠組を付与した場合には視空間認知のゆがみが著しく改善され, 対象の分析-統合を助ける手がかりを与えることの重要性が示唆された.また, コンピュータのディスプレイを利用し, コンピュータグラフィックの手法を用いて, 分析-統合の手がかりを与える視覚刺激の呈示の仕方について検討した.その結果, コンピュータを用いたCAI的指導を行っていく場合には, 画像に分析-統合の手がかりを与えることが, 視知覚に問題のある脳性まひ児の指導に有効であり, 今後, 脳性まひ児のためのソフトウエアには, このような配慮が必要であることが示唆された.
