本研究の目的は, 三井物産・三菱商事などの総合商社の生成と運動の歴史を分析し, それによって過去および現在の総合商社の基礎理論を提示することである.この課題を達成するため, 本年度において以下の作業をおこなった.1.世界において初めて生成した総合商社である三井物産の活動を分析することが基礎理論を提示するための不可欠の研究であるという観点から, 三井物産の分析を中心におこなった. その際, 三井物産会社資料中の「回議箋」(戦前分)に綴られている各部・各課・各視点提出の議案について, その件名リストを作成した. この作成のため, 謝金を使ってアルバイトをやとった. 「回議箋」所収の議案が莫大な数に達するため, 件名リストの作成は中途までしかおこなえなかったが, 今後も引続きおこなう予定である.2.大阪府立中之縞図書館所蔵の貿易商社名リスト(戦前)などをコピーと筆写により収集し, これをもちいて日本における外国製品の商品別・会社別・国別進出状況を分析し, さらに三井物産, 三菱商事などの日本商社とサミュエル商会・ジェームスモリソン商会などの外国商社の対抗状況を分析する場合の基本的データとして利用するため, 日本商社リストと外国商社の商号リストを作成した.3.日本および諸外国における貿易・生産の状況を参照するため, 貿易・生産に関する基本図書を購入した.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the history of the formation and movement of Mitsui & Mitsubishi Corporation, and to suggest the basic theory of the past and present.
