昭和61〜63年度にわたり実施された特定研究「遺伝的制御系の応答機構」によって得られた研究成果をとりまとめることが本研究の目的である。この目的に従って二つの企画が計画され、実施された。1.公開シンポジウムの開催平成元年12月18日東京において公開シンポジウム「遺伝的制御系の応答機構」(文部省科研貴特定研究成果取りまとめ)を開催した。それぞれの計画研究班の班長が概要をまとめたのち、主要研究者8名が夫々の研究成果を具体的に発表し盛会であった。2.公表論文リストおよび英文論文集の作製特定研究課題「遺伝的制御系の応答機構」に係る各分担研究者の公表論文リストと各代表的英文論文2-3編の別刷をとりまとめて本特定研究3ケ年の研究成果報告書として配布した。論文リストと共に700頁を超える大部のものとなった。これらの計画に必要な連絡打合せ、公開シンポジウムの演者、討論者のための出張旅費、謝金、印刷費などに支出された。尚、本特定研究の計画研究班は以下の5班であった。i)刺激応答の遺伝的制御系(代表者 飯野徹雄)ii)下等真核細胞の遺伝的制御系(代表者 大嶋泰治)iii)オルガネラの遺伝的制御系(代表者 小関治男)iv)染色体機能の制御因子(代表者 杉山 勉)v)機能発現の遺伝的制御(代表者 大沢省三)
