本研究では情報量豊かな人別改帳など、貴重な数多くの史料を残した井波町肝煎文書を検討対象に選び、当該テ-マを検討したが、併せて金沢市立図書館加越能文庫その他の文書の調査も実施し、井波の史料をできるだけ数多く視野に入れるように配慮し、井波関係史料の収集につとめた。本研究の最大の眼目は人別帳記載の住民の情報をできるだけ多くパソコンに入力し、住民情報のデ-タ-ベ-スを作成する基礎作業であった。井波のように二千人を越える大きな町で、住民の情報がパソコンで自由に処理できる所は少ないと考え、パソコン購入後、鋭意その入力作業を進め、なんとか当初予定の文化三年と天保七年の二年間分の、延べ約四千五百人に及ぶ多数の住民の情報を入力した。個人情報入力作業と併行して、在町構造の解明のために、相続関係史料の一類書付けを収集し、井波住民の親族関係の実態を把握し、また住民の自治に関わる史料を分析するなかで、個別の町や十人組の地縁的な結合関を検討し、さらに町定めや肝煎選任の動向を検討し、井波の社会構造の把握に加えて住民自治の動きを把握した。ついで入力した個人情報をベ-スにして、住民の家族人数・同形態などの家族実態、婚姻率、婚姻圏などの結婚実態、奉公人の年齢・出身地などの奉公人の実態、また出生や奉公などの子供に関わる実態を把握した。そして、その上で特に子供に焦点を当てて、とりわけこれまでの研究では十分に明かとなっていない私生児について、彼らの両親とその婚姻の問題、彼らのライフヒストリ-について検討を進めた。なお、今後の研究では、幕末の人別帳情報の入力と、他の史料に見られる住民の行動をこれまでの個人情報に付加していく事につとめ、後期在町住民のライフヒストリ-の把握を進めたい。

This study is based on a large amount of information, a large number of valuable historical materials, and a selection of objects to be discussed. When this information is examined, the investigation of other documents in the Kanazawa Municipal Library and the more energy library is carried out. Personal information enters into the work, the understanding of the structure of the town, the collection of historical materials related to each other, the understanding of the actual state of the kinship of the residents, the analysis of historical materials related to the autonomy of the residents, the discussion of the combination of individual towns and groups of ten people, the discussion of the selection trend of the town, the understanding of the social structure of the residents, and the understanding of the movement of the autonomy of the residents.
