My study of Japanese Shintoism, especially the folklore research on Uzigami Shiko is almost completed. Using historical documents and regional investigations, I was able to study the notion of God and its relationship with Japanese courtesy.Since Kunio Yanagida's hypothesis on UzigamiShinko is backed by historical and social anthropology studies, I have decided to base my studies on Yanagida's work. Yanagida's hypothesis is also supported by Durkheim and Leve Strausse research that was published last year. In addition to Yanagida's work, I had the opportunity to meet with European specialists on anthropology and theology in Holland and France at the end of March. There we were able to discuss the faith of Japanese people in North Kanto, North Hyogo, South Shikoku and Kumano. By systematical analysis of Japanese legends and folklore, we were able to gain a greater understanding of Uzigami Shiko's notion of God and courtesy and the influence it has an idea of worth in the Japanese society. We found that there was a relationship between modern Japanese political ideas, political conscience and Uzigami Shinko are revealed by the relationship between State Shintoism, Uzigami Shinto and the political idea and Shintoism.While doing this research, I found that there is a need to conduct studies on State Shintoism and also came to realize the importance of Uzigami Shino's work in the history of Japanese policy and the history of Japanese policy and the history of Japanese political thought.
