研究実施計画の役割分担に従って、下記の研究成果が得られた。1.位相幾何学的研究班では、研究代表者梅原純一が、位相空間がγ-弱ハウスドルフ空間であるための必要十分条件および、積空間が*-弱ハウスドルフ空間であるための必要十分条件について研究した。小林貞一は、mod2^rのレンズ空間のK群の主要な元の位数を決定し、Z_2写像の存在問題に応用した。さらに、mod2^rのレンズ空間のstunted空間の安定ホモトピ-型についても研究した。逸見豊は、H空間の射影平面の概念を一般化し、それを用いて有限H空間のコホモロジ-群を調べ、さらに、H空間の高位ホモトピ-可換性を定義し、それによりト-ラス定理の一般化を示した。2.代数学的研究班では、臼井三平が、Kunev曲面の退化のうち局所モノドロミ-が有限のものを完全に分類し、2系列の退化の流れがあることを明らかにしてKunev曲面の(混合)周期写像をコンパクト化した。藤原(遊佐)毅は、j:X〓=Pを射影的正規な埋め込みとするときH°(X、Ω^1plx(m))の切断についてH°(P、Ω^1_P(m))へ引き上げ可能な必要十分条件はそれがH°(XΩ^1_P(m)【cross product】Op/I^2_x)まで引き上げ可能であることを示し、その応用を与えた。3.解析学的研究班では、新関章三が、移動効果のある一般的な競合モデルの進行波解の存在とその安定性を示した。4.研究発表と討論のための集会が、それぞれの研究実績に基づいて本研究課題の観点から行われ、総合的研究としての実績が得られた。成果は、国内外の学術雑誌に、一部は既に発表され、残りも発表予定である。
