発展方程式に対する初期値問題が適切であるための十分条件及び必要条件を求めることを研究対象としてきた。研究代表者は、放物型方程式に対して適切であるための必要条件、特に、放物型方程式の特徴づけを目標として、分担者、他大学の研究者とも討論してきたが、この問題は難しそうである。しかし、この研究の中から、放物型方程式の性質を少し譲歩して、解析的半群で置きかえると、方程式の根の分布に関する結果(必要条件)をえた。この性質は、放物型方程式とシュレ-デンガ-型方程式とを区別するものである。分担者の猪狩は、双曲型方程式に対する初期値問題を考察し、初期面が特性的である場合に、適切であるための十分条件と、正則解が特性面をこえて解析接続されるための十分条件について研究した。一ノ瀬は、リ-マン多様体上で、シュレデンガ-型方程式に対する初期値問題について、適切であるための十分条件を研究した。天野は、代用電荷法とニュ-トン法で標準領域から問題領域への等角像が、比較的簡単に計算できることを示し、更に、双方向の等角写像に適用できる簡単かつ高精度の計算法を提案した。以上の諸結果は、裏面にあるように現在投稿中であり、それぞれの雑誌に掲載予定である。研究代表者及び分担者は、それぞれの分野の研究集会、シンポジュ-ム等に参加し、講演し、他の研究者との討論の場を持った。これらは大変に有益であり理解を深めるのに役立った。来年度も、今年の研究をふまえて、研究を進めていきたい。
