1.ビデオ・システムを利用した社会学的フィ-ルド調査。昨年度行ったいくつかの試行的なフィ-ルド調査を分析していく中で、広島市高陽地区で行った「塾を中心とした子どもの生活空間調査」が、研究過程における映像利用の点で、興味深いデ-タとなっているので、今年度はさらにそのデ-タを検討し、補足的な聞き取り調査を行った。2.イベントのビデオ効果。今年度新たに展開した課題である。各種イベントに企画の段階から参加し、イベントでビデオを使い、ビデオ・コミュニケ-ションの観点から、その効果を検討した。また、その準備のため、補足的なビデオ・コミュニケ-ション実験も行った。3.「出来事の社会学」の映像社会学的展開。フランスの社会学者E.モランの言う「出来事の社会学」について、新たにビデオによる参与を試み、出来事の促進効果を検討した。具体的には、5〜6件の出来事において、ビデオによる関わりを試み、そのうち少なくとも2件については、出来事の促進効果があり、映像が出来事の展開の一つの焦点ともなった。1件については、「確認・糾弾会と差別キャンペ-ン-〈いま、ここ〉の噴出と隠蔽-」という論文にまとめた。4.映像化社会における映像の位置、ビデオを中心とする映像メディアは社会一般にも広がっている。そこで、昨年度に引き続き、「映像化社会」における映像の位置を検討するため、各種の映像資料を収集し、聞き取り調査等を行った映像化社会の枠組を検討することを通して、研究過程における映像利用の意味や分析方法の検討を行った。このテ-マの一般化として、「映像化社会への視角」「身体とメディア」 などの著書・論文を準備している。
