项目摘要

まず、橘守部の自筆稿本類を天理図書館、慶応大学付属斯道文庫において、ついで、守部の有力門人の1人である色川三中の自筆稿本、日記類を土浦市立博物館(色川文庫)において、それぞれ写真撮影し、研究室でも調査研究を行える状態にした。そのあと、これらの稿本・日記類の解読・研究に入り、色川三中の稿本のうち、自叙伝ともいうべき「古叙廼布留道」に注目、それは、城下の有力商人である三中がいかなる動機で守部の学問を受容するに至るかその契機を具体的に知りうる貴重な史料であるばかりでなく、国学研究上にも重要な史料であることがわかった。そこでこの全文(原稿用紙400字詰70枚)を解読し、内容をくわしく検討した。その結果、「色川三中の『古叙廼布留道』について」と題する論文を作成することができ、これは『茨城史林』13号(茨城地方史研究会編集)に掲載されることになっており、本年5月上旬には刊行される。また目下、写真版とした守部関係の稿本類を調査研究しつつ、「橘守部の神道説」(仮題)と題する論文を作成中である。そこでは、守部の学問、とくに神道説について、これを本居宣長や平田篤胤など他の有力学者の神道説と比較しながら、守部が反宣長学を形成するに至った意義を考察するとともに、国学史上における守部学の位置についても新説を打出したいと考えている。この方は今年前半期までには脱稿の予定である。
