(1)売券の調査は、次のように実施した。栃木県文化振興事業団では、下野国府跡から出土した漆紙文書の中に含まれる売券様文書断片の調査を行い、国府に保存された売券である可能性を検討した。金刀比羅宮博物館では、幕末の画家冷泉為恭の模写売券を調査し、東大史料編纂所でその関連史料の比較検討を行なった。また、同所では、『模写東大寺文書』『松屋筆記』の調査を行ない、後者については、東大総合図書館・内閣文庫で関係史料の検索・コピーを行った。また、東大総合図書館では、関東大震災で焼失した売券数通の行く方を調査し、東大史料編纂所の台紙付写真のなかに、その写真を見い出すことができた。(2)8〜9世紀土地売券データベースの作成を意図して、ソフトとして、The CARD2を購入した。入力のための準備作業として、従来行なわれた売券の原本調査結果の整理、関係文献の収集をアルバイトを用いて行った。このデータベース作成作業は、今後も継続し、新しい情報を遂時入力して完成に近づけたい。(3)売券の写真については、金刀比羅宮博物館で、冷泉為恭旧蔵文書を撮影した。つぎに、東大史料編纂所においては、『東京国立博物館所蔵文書』『金刀比羅宮文書』『市島春城旧蔵手鑑』『台紙付写真』中の売券の写真を託写により入手した。また、正倉院文書中の売券の写真を、マイクロフィルムからの焼付けで入手した。(4)研究成果の一端は、次項に記したが、はじめのものは、金刀比羅宮博物館の冷泉為恭旧蔵文書、東大史料編纂所所蔵の関連史料の調査成果の一部を利用した。その調査成果の全体は、今後予定している別の調査成果とあわせて、近々発表する予定である。2番目と3番目は、関東大震災における焼失売券の写真の紹介・解説と、その内容的な検討である。焼失売券は他にもあり、今後その調査を行なう目度をたてられた。
