项目摘要

1.史料調査の主要な成果は,アンケ-トによって所在が判明していた、盛岡南部藩・府中(甲府)藩に関する縁切り駈込み、および八戸藩における火事の火元入寺について、新知見が得られたことが挙げられる。2.火事の火元入寺は全国的に行われた慣行と推測していたが、福井県内の調査を通して、その地域にもともと火事の火元入寺の慣行があったということよりも、大名(支配者)側にそれを許容する法意識が存在することの方が主要な要因と考えられることを立証したが、このほかにも秋田・盛岡・越後などの事例を新たに収集することができた。3.当初計画の通り、新田文庫(群馬大学付属図書館所蔵)の史料、つまり満徳寺至近距離の岩松満次郎家における縁切り駈込み慣行を精査したこと、そのほか縁切寺満徳寺のすぐ隣家である正田家での駈込み受容などを検討し、その成果は4の出版物に採録した。4.史料調査を精力的に行うことと並行して、平成元年度が最終年度ということで、史料整理に力点をおき、研究成果として、『縁切寺満徳寺の研究』をまとめた。すでに史料編をはじめとして初校が出始めているので、1990年7月頃までには遅くとも出版予定である。さらに近世における駈込み(アジ-ル)の普遍性と特殊性を分析し、グロ-バルな観点から総合的研究としての「駈込みに関する実証的研究」につなげたい。
