1.研究代表者の内山は、日本大学塩原研修所へ出張し、「作用素・作用素環論」のシンポジウムに出席した。70名の研究者が合宿しながら勉強する会は大いに刺激になり、今後の研究にプラスになった。特に、京大教授の荒木氏にいくつかの問題を提起された。この頃、論文「Curvatures and Similarity……」がアメリカ数学会のtransactionに採用された。この論文は作用素に幾何学の概念を応用したもので、多くの人から質問された。2.研究代表者の内山は、京都大学数理解析研究所に出張し「微分方程式の超局所解析」についての研究集会に参加した。研究課題とは直接の関係はないが、世界をリードする日本の研究分野であり、学ぶ事は多くあった。又研究分担者の鈴木氏は京都大学数理解析研究所での「偏微分方程式の解の構造」についての集会に参加した。3.研究代表者の内山は、九州大学教養部に出張し、山口氏の講演を聴いた。氏はトポロジーの曲率の大きさが及ぼす影響を調べているようで、基本的発想は我々のものと同じであった。4.研究分担者の濃野氏は、岐阜大学、岡山理科大学に出張した。氏はη次元空間の領域を解析的関数の存在によって特徴付けできないか研究している。間もなく論文にまとめる予定である。5.研究分担者の福武氏は、高知大学に出張し、トポロジーセミナーで講演した。
