英文摘要
Objectives of the program :a) Exchange of, data on analytical research of archaeological materialsb) Exchange of samples of-archaeological-m-aterialsc) Comparative study on the conservation techniques of-archaeological materialsSummary of Activities :<Samples>Water-logged Wood : Sampled from the shipwrecks from Sinan (Korea) and Esasi (Hokkaidou).Urushi : Vessels and combs coated with Urusi from the Joumon period, Yayoi period, and Kofun period in Japan.Vessels and bow with. -Urushi from Tahori site in. Korea, the 6th C.Metal Objects : Bronze artifacts-from the Kofun period in Japan. Iron swords from the Kofun period in Japan and Korea.<Results and Discussion>A water-logged wood containing iron salt is-not strong against the wet condition. This type of wood treated by PEG method should-be kept in a dry condition. Two methods of pretreatment for freeze-drying were compared for shipwrecks. One of them is using a solution of tertiary butanol, and the other is a solution of PEG in water. Many of, urushi artifacts have been. excavated in Japan and Korea. Its origin in started. from Bronze age, around B. C. 100.The bronze artifacts excavated in Japan have a large, variety in surface condition. One of them has surface heavily covered with thick patina. The other has smooth surface, like a glasses which has a black or silver color.BTA reacts quickly With cuprite, but slowly with tenorite. Two samples were prepared. Two samples were prepared, one rich and the other poor in tenorite. Both surfaces were treated with a corrosion inhibitor. No difference in the surisce state was observed after a treatment of accelerateing deterioration.
