Design and Analysis of Flexible Manufacturing Systems by Using Al-Aided Simulation

(1) Data collection and analysis were performed for Computer-Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Especially, data related to the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), the Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), industrial robots, and numerical controlled machine tools were collected and analyzed.(2) Simulation/animation models were constructed for such manufacturing systems as the machining/measuring type of the flexible manufacturing systems, conveyor picking systems, computer-aided cart systems, and so on. Then, analysis were performed from both efficient and economic standpoints.(3) A series of procedures for obtaining optimal solutions on manufacutring systems were proposed, by using simulation techniques and associated optimization approaches. These procedures play important roles as the basis in Al-aided simulation systems.
