1(1)国立国語研究所所蔵の九州方言関係の資料(各県地方調査員の報告物その他)や、九州各県の地方教育委員会所蔵の資料等を探索し、從来における九州方言研究の実態を究明した。 (2)九州諸方言の中、肥前・肥後・薩摩・大隅・日向・豊後各地方の主要方言18地点(各地3地点ずつ)の方言を臨地調査した。アクセント・音韻・文法諸現象が中心。 (3)国会図書館所蔵の本草書など江戸時代の九州方言関係文献を調査研究した。 (4)上記(1)(2)(3)の調査結果をカ-ドに整理した。 (5)上記の結果から九州諸方言相互の系譜関係や新古関係を考察した。2筑前・筑後地方の方言調査は実施しなかったが、これは或程度昨年度以前の予備調査の結果を利用する亊ができた。上記1の(2)及び(5)の結果を利用した九州諸方言分布図の作製は今後の課題となった。3その研究成果については、『九州方言の歴史的研究』(1989年2月桜楓社刊)で詳述したが、重要な発見としては次の如きが挙げられる。 (1)国会図書館所蔵『庶物類纂』(江戸時代文献)が動植物名等を中心とした貴重な九州方言史料である亊がわかった。 (2)從来のいわゆる「豊日方言」はアクセントその他の面からして、少くとも、日向方言と豊前豊後方言との分かつべき亊。豊後の中、日田方言は筑前式方言に入れるべき亊等がわかった。 (3)九州諸方言の中、南部の薩隅方言は意外に古い言語形式の残存が少く、むしろ豊前豊後地方に古形の残存が多い亊を明らかにした。

1(1) To explore and clarify the status of Kyushu dialect research from the data on Kyushu dialect relations compiled by the National Institute of Mandarin Studies (other reports from various regional investigators) and data compiled by various regional education committees in Kyushu. (2)Local survey of the main dialects of Kyushu dialects in 18 places (3 places in each place) The center of all phenomena of grammar, phoneme and grammar. (3)A survey of the literature on the relationship between Kyushu dialect and the Edo period was conducted in the National Assembly Library. (4)The results of the survey in (1)(2)(3) above were sorted out. (5)The results of this paper are as follows: The genealogical relationship between Jiuzhou dialects and the relationship between new and ancient dialects are investigated. 2. The investigation of local dialects before and after construction shall be carried out according to the results of the preliminary investigation before last year. The results of the above notes 1 (2) and 2 (5) show that the distribution of Jiuzhou dialects is used to make a system for future problems. 3."A Study of the History of Kyushu Dialect"(February 1989, Journal of the Kyushu Dialect Society). (1)The Book of Animals and Plants (Edo period documents) collected by the National Assembly Library is centered on the historical materials of Kyushu dialect. (2)From time to time, the "Fengri dialect" has changed from a common dialect to a common dialect. In the middle of the year, the Japanese dialect was divided into two groups: the Japanese dialect and the Japanese dialect. (3)In the middle and south of Kyushu dialect, the ancient speech forms are left behind, and the ancient speech forms are left behind.
