项目摘要

雲仙普賢岳の火山活動は全国民の注目するところであるが、鹿児島においても桜島はすでに35年以上にわたって降灰による被害を周辺地域に及ぼしている。本研究は、降灰が二輪車(バイク)のドライバ-に及ぼす影響の実態を把握するために、桜島周辺地域(桜島、鹿児島、垂水、姶良・隼人、川内)の住民に対して約600個のアンケ-ト調査を実施し、結果を整理・分析中した。得られた知見の主なものは次の通りである。(1)最近の12年間の年間平均降灰量は桜島地区(100〜10kg/m^2)、鹿児島、垂水地区(10〜1kg/m^2)、姶良・隼人地区1〜0.2(kg/m^2)、川内地区0.2〜0.05(kg/m^2)である。(2)平成元年度におけるバイク事故発生件数(1000台当り)は、降灰量の多い桜島や鹿児島地域は40台以上と、降灰量の少ない川内地域の25〜30台に較べて多く、降灰はバイク事故に影響している。(3)非降灰時の運転では不安を感じるバイクドライバ-はどの地域とも11%以下であるが、雨天時の降灰下に不安を感じるドライバ-は川内地域を除き、いずれも93%以上を示し、バイクドライバ-に対して降雨時の降灰が非常に悪影響を及ぼしている。(4)道路幾何構造の違いがドライバ-に及ぼす不安感の差は、降灰の多い地域の6割以上のバイクドライバ-が曲線部において最も多く不安感を感じている。(5)それらのうち事故に遭遇した割合は38%〜18%と大きな値を示す。その原因が降灰とした割合は降灰の最も多い地域で44%、降灰の少ない地域で6%と降灰がバイク事故と密接に関わっている。(6)降灰除去活動の充実が降灰地域の人々の最も切実は要望である。現在、各研究分担者の研究成果をまとめて報告書を作成中である。

Volcanic activity of Yunxian Mountain is the focus of the whole country. It has been more than 35 years since the volcanic activity of Kagoshima Island. This study aims to understand the status of the impact of rain and ash on the residents of the surrounding areas of Nagoshima (Nagoshima, Kagoshima, Tarami, Nagoya, Hayato, and Kawauchi). About 600 surveys were conducted, and the results were analyzed. The Lord knows what to do.
