It is generally speaking that scirrhous type gastric cancer shows poor ptgnosis. We reported that some of gastric cancers were responded to endocrine therapy. In this study, it is examined whether new endocrinie therapy drug, aromatase inhibitor is effective for gastric cancer as breast cancer. In vitro-study, aromatase inhibitor (GGS. 16949A) inhibited gastric cancer proliferation as breast cancer cells. The activities of aromatase were high in gastric cancer tissues and omental tissues as in breast cancer tissues. After administration of aromatase inhibitors, the estrogen levels of gastric cancer decreased. These results suggest that aromatase inhibitors is useful for endocrine treatment of gastric cancer.

一般认为，硬结型胃癌的诊断价值较差。本文报道了内分泌治疗对部分胃癌有疗效。在这项研究中，它是检查新的内分泌治疗药物，芳香化酶抑制剂是否是有效的胃癌乳腺癌。在体外研究中，芳香化酶抑制剂（GGS。16949A）抑制胃癌增殖，如乳腺癌细胞。胃癌组织和大网膜组织中芳香化酶活性较高，乳腺癌组织中芳香化酶活性也较高。给予芳香化酶抑制剂后，胃癌患者的雌激素水平下降。这些结果表明，芳香化酶抑制剂是有用的胃癌的内分泌治疗。
