项目摘要

1985年に行なわれたプラザ合意の後、円の実効為替レ-トは急激な上昇を示し、幾つかの実証研究によれば、このような円高の製造業部門に対する影響は輸出主導型成長から内需主導型成長への転換として確認されている。しかしながら、農業関連産業がどのような影響を受けたのかに関しては、ほとんど実証分析がなされてこなかった。この点を踏まえ、1985年を境に我国の農業関連産業の成長パタ-ンの変化を明らかにすることが本研究の主たる目的である。Cheneryらによって開発された要因分解法に改良を加え、消費支出シェア-変化の分析が可能となる方法を用いて分析した結果のうち主なものを列挙すると次のようになる。(1)よく指摘されるように、家計消費支出における米・麦のシェア-の減少は、これらの部門の成長阻害要因ではあるが、1985年以降においては若干ながら鈍化の兆しを見せている。(2)また、家計消費支出における飲食店のシェア-はこの部門の成長促進要因ではあるが、1980年代を通して増加の一途にある。(3)このような飲食店に対する需要の増加は畜産食料品および水産食料品の重要な成長要因である。(4)しかしながら、このような成長促進要因とは対照的に、畜産食料品製造業および水産食料品製造業において、国産品から輸入品への代替が1985年以降激化している。したがって、これまでの食料消費に関する研究は、エンゲル系数の低下、食の欧米化、サ-ビス化、簡便化、などの概念を中心に展開されてきたが、今後はこのような概念の他に「為替ル-ト変更に伴う輸入品への代替」という概念を付加して分析を行う必要がある。
