本年度は追加採用であったため、ヒヤリングに十分な時間を割けなかったが、主として北海道地区における進出企業の状況調査と九州地区における進出企業動向調査ならびに地場部品メーカーの対応調査を行った。中国地方ではマツダでの聞き取りのみを実施した。大阪地区では部品メーカーの聞き取りを実施した。北海道地区においてはトヨタ自動車北海道(株)及びいすゞ自動車北海道工場、苫小牧東部開発(株)にてもヒヤリングを実施した。工場はいずれも部品工場であり、トヨタはアルミホイール製造でスタートし、目下、オートマチックトランスミッション製造を準備中である。後者についてはトヨタ自身としても初のアルミ合金鋳造粗形材から完成部品までの一貫工場であり、連続する各工程の流れに即した出来栄え評価が目標とされている。いすゞはエンジン工場であるが、機械加工・組立のみを実施。北米からの輸入部品も僅かながら使用されている。いずれの工場においても地場企業との取引は殆どない。今後、事業が拡大すれば東海、関東、関西地区より部品メーカーの進出が本格化するものと見られる。九州地区においては日産自動車及び関連部品メーカー3社、トヨタ自動車九州(株)及び関連部品メーカー2社を調査し、合せて九州産業技術センターにて聞き取りを行った。日産自動車九州工場の新工場は非常に自動化度の進んだ設備を有しており、部品メーカーからの納入形態もファイナルアッセンブリーラインと同期化されているが、目下のところ販売不振のため稼動率は高くない。日産系部品メーカー3社の内、1社は地場企業である。製品は汎用性の高いボルト類であるため、トヨタへの納入も果している。トヨタ九州も操業度は低く、部品メーカーについても同様。今後、日産或いはマツダへの納入を狙っている。尚、マツダと他社の車型、コンポーネントの相互供給については未だ流動的である。
