Quantification of wear comfortness of clothes has been expected so far. We first established the systemhydrostatic pressure-balanced method, suitable for measuring the clothing pressures which can be used as an indication of wear comforts. We examined the relations between the clothing pressures thus measured and subcutaneous fats, viscoelasticties of the body surface, sensualy evaluations. The thickness of abdominal subcutaneous fats, examined by using ultrasonic wave diagnosis device, decreased at the regions under th ewaistbelt, while it increased at upper and lower sides of the belt. Contribution of the thickness of subcutaneous fats to the waistbelt-pressures was approximately 30 %. Meanwhile, contribution of visco-elasticities of the body surface to the waistbelt-pressures was approximately 65 %. Comfortable sox-pressures for men were 5-10 mmHg in rubber parts and 10mmHg in ankles. Preferable high sox-pressures for women were 5-10 mmHg in lower legs at rest-standing. When the pre … More ssures generated on the waistline were compared between waistbelt and waist nippers, both were made from the same fabric, the former pressure was higher than the latter. When the subjects wore yukata (Japanese summer kimono), "kikuzure" (slippage out of place) came out by bows in the following 4 regions : chest, upper edge of obi, lower edge of ohashori, and right side line of the body. When tied up koshihimo so as to produce the pressures more than 20mmHg per measuring region at rest-standing, the more the pressures became, the more the magunitude of slippages increased. A linear relationship was established between the rates of pressure change (log scale) and the magunitude of slippage on ohashori (log scale) caused by the bows. When the subjects had experience in yukata-wearing 50 times, the yukata pressures generated in the abdomen converged in about 7mmHg/region. We examined effects of pressure on the skin temperature, regarding as an indication of autonomic nervous system.
