The purpose of this report is to study the theory of handicraft teaching in the introductory period. As a result of this study, following conclusions were found. Rokushiro Uehara contributed most powerfully to forming the theory of Japanese handicraft teaching. The works referred to the theory of French handicraft teaching and Sloyd. The theory influenced upon Japanese handicraft teaching. Following are the main points which 'extended by Rokushiro Uehara. 1)He regarded handicraft teaching as general education. 2)The study of handicraft implied the theoretical study of tools, material, drawing, and skill. 3)Concerning teaching materials, he tried to adjust teaching materials according to the progress of the children's abilities.

本报告的目的是研究入门阶段的手工艺教学理论。本研究得出以下结论：上原Rokushiro Uehara对日本手工艺教学理论的形成贡献最大。作品参考了法国手工艺教学理论和斯洛伊德。这一理论对日本手工艺教学产生了影响。上原六郎的主要观点如下：(1)他将手工业教学视为通识教育。对手工艺的研究意味着对工具、材料、绘画和技能的理论研究。3)在教材方面，他尝试根据孩子能力的发展来调整教材。
