まず、対称統計量分布論(とくにk-統計量の分布)において、内在する代数的構造を探り、抽出することによりそれらの構造から数式処理的アプローチを目指したアルゴリズムの開発をおこなった。その数式処理システムの構築を、今回購入したしたMacintosh LC575上で実現した。購入機種では計算結果のグラフ表示、アニメーション化が容易にでき、計算結果からの情報の抽出に多大な利益を産んだ。すなわち、学会発表の際の資料作成に多いに役だった。次に、以前筆者らが開発した対称式算法との計算量の点での比較検討をおこない、k-統計量から構成できる統計量分布に限っては今回の方法が計算量が少なくてすむことを立証した。これらの研究成果を関連学会で発表し、また研究論文としてまとめあげた。また、今回の研究成果の一部を学位論文に掲載し、学位論文も受理された。
