Comparative Floristic Study between Japan and the Asiatic Contifnent

本研究是由日本国立科学博物馆与中国两所研究所、上海自然博物馆和昆明植物研究所合作，从1995年开始为期两年进行的。研究区域为华南地区，包括湄公河和长江流域。我们得到了7000多个植物和真菌标本，以及目前天然林植被的信息。我们的研究结果是；1.在中国和日本都有分布的种类很多，但由于在中国和日本发现了一些物种的声音差异，因此需要对这些物种进行分类重新研究。滇黔交界可能存在植物地理不连续；森林土壤研究和植物区系研究的结果表明了这一点。3.从生物资源和民族植物学的角度对香菇、灵芝和野生食用花卉进行了研究。

The Study was carried during two years from 1995 under the cooperation between National Science Museum in Japan and tow institutes in China, Shanghai Natural History Museum and Kunming Botanical Institute. The study area is southern China including the Mekong River and the Changjiang River basin. We got over 7,000 specimens of plants and fungi in addition to information of natural forest vegetations at the present day. The results our study are ; 1.there are many species which are distributed in both China and Japan, but some of these species should be taxonomically re-examined because we found sound difference among these species growing in China and Japan. 2.A phytogeographical discontinuity may be along the boundary between Yunnan and Guizhou Province ; it is suggested by the results of study on forest soil and floristic research. 3.some interesting informations are got about Lentinus edodes and Canoderma lucidum, and wild edible flowers from the view point of biological resources and ethnobotany.
