Many experiments have been done for deformation behaviors in high temperature range in solid state of alloys, however, very few for those during solidification range because of difficulty of experiments. In this research aims are to develop a tensile testing method for coexisting range of solid and liquid which has been originally made by authors. We obtained relationship between strength and ductility and fraction of solid, dependency of strain rate and alloying elements on deformation of many steels, copper alloys and aluminum alloys. We also proposed and developed a new simulator for solidification and deformation controlling solidification structures and transformation considered with cracks. Main results obtained are as follows.1.Deformation behavior during solidification of aluminum alloysDeformation behaviors of 1100,3004,6061,6063 and Al-Cu binary alloys are obtained. Effect of grain refinement and strain rate is discussed.2.Deformation behavior during solidification of Cu-Sn alloys for lead frame uses.Deformation behavior during solidification and also high temperature range in solid of 2,5 and 8% Sn alloys are obtained.3.Deformation behavior during solidification of steelsStrain rate effect for deformation during solidification of carbon steels and Si content effect of stainless steels are obtained.4.In situ simulator for solidification and deformationA new simulator developed for controlling cooling rate of solidification and deforming high temperature are obtained.
