A trial manufacture of "in situ" sulfur sensor for molten iron

研制了一种测定铁水中硫含量的化学传感器。该传感器是固体电解质氧传感器在熔融金属中的一种应用。化学传感器具有作为固体电解质的稳定氧化锆和辅助电极。固体电解质安装在具有三个孔的石英管中。辅助电极安装在固体电解质表面和阴极管内表面之间。用固体CaO和CaS构成辅助电极，研究表明，用固体电解质氧传感器可以测定铁水中的硫含量。

A chemical sensor to determine sulfur content in molten pig iron has been developed. The sensor is a kind of anapplication of an oxygen sensor with solid electrolyte for molten metal. The chemical sensor has a stabilized zirconia as a solid electrolyte and an auxiliary electrode. The solid electrolyte is installed in a quartz tube with three holes. The auxiliary electrode is installed between surface of solid electrolyte and inside surface of the quart tube. The auxiliary electrode is constituted with solid CaO and CaS.It has been confirmed by the study that sulfur content of molten pig iron is able to determine by the oxygen sensor with a solid electrolyte.
